Then and Now

The two pictures on the left show Elstree Crossroads as it was about 100 years ago and as it is today.

While known as Elstree High Street, it is also part of the Roman Watling Street.

The crossroads have been there since prehistoric times.

The photos on the right are of a street scene in Shenley Road Borehamwood,  showing modern Borehamwood and as it was in the early 1950's.
