The Sheriff visits the Museum

Howard Guard, the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, visited the Elstree and Boreham Wood Museum on the 19th December 2007 during his tour of all the Museums in Hertfordshire.

The photo shows him looking at a model of the Woodcock Hill Optical Telegraph that was built during the Napoleonic Wars.

He gave his congratulations for building a really vibrant local Museum and said " Hats off to all the outstanding volunteers who have brought local history to life".
